Jean Ann Panton Fingers Hugh Croskery; Bolt Files Court Order

Are more charges finally about to drop in the SSL fraud case? Jean Ann Panton just spilled some major tea that’s got the whole situation heating up again.  And Usain Bolt is stepping up his fight to get his money back!

So, former Stocks and Securities Limited Wealth Advisor Jean Ann Panton says she only confessed to the $3 billion fraud that rocked the company because she was persuaded by the company’s founder, Hugh Croskery.

In a court filing, Panton alleged that Croskery, on behalf of SSL, persuaded her to confess to stealing over $3 billion from investors, including spirit legend Usain Bolt.

And while the court document didn’t specify HOW he persuaded her, the term her lawyers used was “inducement”.

Jean Ann reportedly said she would never have confessed if Croskery didn’t make the offer. The former wealth advisor has been locked up since February for breaches of the Larceny Act, the Proceeds of Crime Act, the Forgery Act, and the Cyber Crimes Act.

But of course, Croskery is denying the allegation.  According to a Gleaner article, he “strongly refuted” it.

So far, Panton is the only person that has been arrested in connection to the fraud. But now that she’s been in jail for a couple months, maybe she’s ready to drop some names.

Meanwhile, Usain Bolt and his attorneys just got a court order for two banks to release the transaction history of Jean-Ann’s accounts.

Bolt’s investment account, which was reportedly worth up to US$12 million, was pretty much wiped out!  Only US$12,000 remained when the athlete checked in January.

So his lawyers are probably trying to find out if Panton transferred any of that money into her bank accounts.

Over US$6 million of Panton’s assets were frozen when all of this started and she was ordered to declare all her assets.
