High Paying Careers in AI!

A school in the UK just named a robot as its principal! Is there any job that AI can’t take over?

So, the more advanced artificial intelligence gets, the more fear people have about robots taking over their jobs. I mean hey, if a robot can be named principal, then what job can’t it do?

The truth is there are some jobs that AI will replace, but it also opens up a ton of new, very lucrative, career paths.

Here are four of the highest-paying jobs in AI that you can consider:

One – Prompt Engineer.

So when ChatGPT burst on the scene a year ago, people went crazy trying to figure out how to phrase their requests to get the bot to respond exactly how they wanted. Enter the role of a prompt engineer.

Prompt engineering is the process of structuring text in a way that can be interpreted and understood by generative AI applications like ChatGPT or Google Bard. A prompt engineer is the person who makes it happen. You get paid to ask AI the right questions to get the best answers.

According to Time Magazine, this job pays up to US$335,000 a year! And you can probably do it remotely from anywhere in the world because AI is global.

The next job on the list is a data scientist. As I mentioned before AI is still very much a growing field, and there will be some kinks to work out. A data scientist collects information, analyses it and sees what’s working and what’s not. And with so many AI companies popping up now, data scientists will be in high demand because everyone wants to be the best and wants their app to offer the best results.

And the pay isn’t bad either. An AI data scientist can make at least US$100,000 a year.  And that’s one the lower end.

Now if research isn’t your thing, maybe consider software engineering. Software engineers are the backbone of the AI industry.  Most people call them developers. They create the software for computers and apps, because the ChatGPTs and Twitters all need developers to help things run smoothly. So, if you’re an analytical thinker and enjoy solving problems and improving digital systems, then this might be the career for you. On average, an AI software engineer can make around US$120,000 a year.

Finally, if you already have a love for STEM, then consider robotics engineering.

You could create robots for many industries, like automotive, manufacturing, defence, and medicine.

A robotics engineer designs new products or assembles prototypes for testing. They can earn up to US$130,000 a year.

And the great thing is, except for robotics engineering, all of these jobs have a very small barrier to entry. There are online classes you can take and become certified in 2 or 3 months.

So even though AI will replace some jobs, more high-paying jobs are opening up in their place… and that’s the bottom line.
