The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) over the past few years has created several programmes, such as Chat GPT, that can be used to make running a successful business much easier.
Launched in November 2022, ChatGPT is an AI chatbox trained to respond to user prompts.
Speaking on MoneyMovesJA, Co-founder of Voto Virtual Solutions, Kevon Brown, said ChatGPT is one of the most significant tech breakthroughs in over a decade because of its potential to disrupt many industries.
Businesses have already begun using the software to streamline practices and reduce time.
“People are using it to create scripts for production companies, develop content ideas and copy for social media. Web or app developers also use it to help write and edit code,” he said.
“It’s one of the greatest tech/AI breakthroughs that we’ve seen in a decade because it has the ability to disrupt so many industries in so many different ways,” he said.
Even tech giant Google is feeling the pressure.
“Microsoft is a heavy investor in Chat GPT’s parent company and Microsoft has already begun incorporating ChatGPT into its search engine Bing. Currently, ChatGPT in its current form can’t search the interest but a complete integration with Bing, would give it that ability,” he explained.
While the Microsoft integration is still in its infancy, a successful collaboration could undermine Google’s stronghold as the go-to internet search engine.
Despite, ChatGPT’s expensive capabilities and potential the software has its weaknesses.
Brown explained that ChatGPT is only trained with data up to 2021.
“Anything after 2021 it won’t know. You would have to train it on that information,” he said.
“So let’s say you ask the bot ‘who is Jamaica’s Prime Minister?’ It will respond as of 2021 Jamaica’s Prime Minister is Andrew Holness. You can then respond and let it know that Andrew Holness is still the Prime Minister in 2023,” he explained.
