Atlantic Hardware has big plans!

Wholesale hardware distributor, Atlantic Hardware and Plumbing has big plans.

The company recently launched its Initial Public Offer but has its eyes set on an even bigger goal, listing on the Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) in the coming years.

The company stocks over 2400 hardware items including paints, plumbing, renovation tools and more. As a wholesale distributor, they supply other hardware stores.

The company launched its IPO on February 27, 2025, and wants to raise J$499 million. Once the offer is closed, it plans to list on the JSE’s Junior Market, using the opportunity to grow and expand its reach.

Speaking on Taking Stock with Kalilah Reynolds, CEO Deanall Barnes said this is just the beginning.

“We intend to be a major player in the distribution of building material and small equipment right across the Caribbean,” he shared.

One of the company’s major plans is to strengthen its base in Jamaica first. A big part of this strategy includes moving operations to Marcus Garvey Drive, a location that will support their long-term expansion. But it’s not just about selling more products, Atlantic Hardware is focused on improving efficiency, service, and technology to stand out in the industry.

The company started the Atlantic Training Institute, where all employees from security guards to senior executives receive training in sales and marketing.

Technology is another area where Atlantic Hardware is making big changes. In the next 60 days, the company plans to roll out tablets for warehouse staff, allowing them to interact with customers, sales teams, and finance teams in real-time.

Barnes said the company wants to make the buying process seamless. Soon, customers will be able to browse and place orders online, receive e-statements, and have access to real-time pricing information.

In addition to expanding its product line to include lumber, cement, zinc, and chain link fencing, the company is also building strong partnerships with major suppliers. These efforts will help Atlantic Hardware grow into a powerhouse distributor in Jamaica and beyond.

Looking ahead, Barnes is confident in the company’s vision.

“In four to five years, we see ourselves graduating to the Main Market,” he said. With its focus on innovation, efficiency, and growth, Atlantic Hardware and Plumbing is setting itself up to be a major force in the industry for years to come.
