Tyrone Wilson back in as iCreate CEO
We spoke with iCreate’s former CEO, Arlene Martin, on Tuesday, just days before her shocking exit from the company.
Founder and CEO, Tyrone Wilson, who had resigned in August was reinstated as CEO at the company’s Annual General Meeting on Friday. Along with her dismissal as CEO, Martin and three other iCreate’s broad members were not reelected.
According to a statement from Wilson, there are still several unclear issues surrounding his resignation and the business’s operation.
“iCreate holds a special place in my heart, as my creation, and I am driven by a deep sense of responsibility to ensure its success,” he said.
The news sent iCreate’s struggling stock soaring, it ended the week at 70 cents up 23%.
The stock took a nose dive after resuming trading in October. The company was suspended from trading by the Jamaica Stock Exchange in August because of the continued delays in publishing several financial reports.
Wilson announced his departure shortly afterwards, and Martin was tapped to take over.
